Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa being sworn in as the new Governor of Ondo State after the passing away of Rotimi Akeredolu

Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has officially been sworn in as the new Governor of Ondo State.

This is coming after his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu passed away in the early hours of today.

Mr Akeredolu died at about 2 a.m on Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment, a senior government official in Ondo State said.

He died of leukemia and prostate cancer, two ailments that had made him incapacitated for several months.
