need advice asap: in a gay relationship but after over a year my partner is unsure of their sexuality
need advice asap-- hi reddit. this is my first post because i'm very, very conflicted as to what to do next in my relationship... so here's whats up: im in a lesbian relationship. we're both 19. my girlfriend was out as bisexual before we started dating, and i've always known i was a lesbian. we've been together for a year and a half and a couple days ago she told me that she thinks she mostly likes guys, but i'm the exception and i'm probably the only girl she thinks she's really attracted to. this raises a couple issues (we're currently taking time to think, on a bit of a break :/). first: i don't want her to wake up in a few years and realize she regrets being with me because she'd rather be with a man. right now, she swears she only wants to be with me and that i'm satifying all of her needs and i always will. while it's nice to believe that, it's really weird for me as a lesbian to look at my girlfriend and know that she only likes boys, but she likes me. she told me she doesn't want to label herself as "straight", but she also doesn't like the "bisexual" label. that's okay with me, i don't need her to label herself. part of me feels almost guilty if i stay, like she could be happier with a man, even if it hurts more than anything in the world to break up. we've planned a future together, talked about kids, are planning on moving in together soon too. we've only had a couple big fights-- and since our last fight four months ago we havent fought since. we got over a big hurdle and understand how to communicate with eachother now, there is absolutely nothing i would change about this girl, she is everything i could want in a partner. only now i'm worried that i can't give her everything she wants, even if she says i'm enough for her. when it comes to sex, she says she's attracted to me. she says she loves my body, which feels good but again, i don't want her to ever feel like she missed out by staying with me if she "mostly likes boys". what should i do? we're taking time to ourselves right now, but we're going to talk in a few days. i almost feel like we should break up, and if she comes back to me then it's meant to be. but i also don't want to make the biggest mistake of my life by breaking up if she never comes back and i accidentally let my life partner go because of my own fears. TLDR: my girlfriend of 1.5 years told me she thinks she mostly likes boys, but i'm the exception. and now im worried that she won't be satisfyed with me. what should i do? submitted by /u/miakae26 [link] [comments]

what should i do? we're taking time to ourselves right now, but we're going to talk in a few days. i almost feel like we should break up, and if she comes back to me then it's meant to be. but i also don't want to make the biggest mistake of my life by breaking up if she never comes back and i accidentally let my life partner go because of my own fears.
