Suspending members will not help you - Wike declare war on Ayu

There is a new twist to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Nyesom Wike has reacted to the suspension of some key party members recently.

The Rivers state governor posited the fact that the punishment handed to loyalists of the G5 governors will not help the party in the coming general elections, as reported by The Nation.

The 55-year-old stressed that the suspension could bring division among members and the battle line has been drawn with the PDP’s national chairman Iyorchia Ayu.

Wike further stated that the matter will be taken to court to challenge the illegal actions of the party chairman Ayu.

“Your suspending people will not help you in any way. The battle line has been fully drawn. As I speak to you we will do everything legally possible to challenge any decision that we know is illegal.”

Meanwhile, Nyesom Wike finally approved the use of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium for the presidential campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic flagbearer Atiku Abubakar.

The pragmatic governor approved the venue and warned Atiku’s campaign manager in the state Adokiye Sekibo that he will only be allowed to have access into the stadium two days before the event.
