Kano Governor-elect unveils transition committee

Kano State Governor-Elect, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the members of his Transition Committee. The Committee will facilitate the smooth transfer of power from the outgoing administration of Governor Ganduje to the incoming Abba Gida Gida administration.

Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, a former Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) and NNPP 2023 Senatorial Candidate for Kano North, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Gubernatorial Transition Committee (GTC). Meanwhile, Abdullahi Musa, a retired Permanent Secretary, has been named as the Secretary of the Committee.

The Governor-Elect is expected to inaugurate the Transition Committee on Saturday, 1st April 2023, at 2:00 PM. While the full list of the Main Committee membership has been released, the sub-committees on various sectors and sub-sectors will be announced in due course.

This announcement comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf with his Certificate of Return, confirming his election as the Governor of Kano State.
